this week Team – Tui created a canva poster and used figurative language. How we did it was by creating three example for six figurative languages.

For this week Cyber – Smart Team – Tui learned to properly use google meet . Here is some examples.
(Be Prepared , Be on time , Be kind , Turn on Camera , Mute Mic , Raise hand to speak ,
Find a quiet space , Be still , )
First we matched certain words that connect with their Icon for example : “Mute Mic” – > [Mute button Icon]
Than we listed three things that a group of people in a Google – Meet were doing correct . – : Camera on , Mic – Muted & No other people in the background.
After that we decided which background was the best for a Google – Meet and which was the worst . (Presentation in slide 4)
Next was a image of us in a google meet block acting as if we were actually there.
Today’s math for Team – Tui was about creating Circles using a Compass. (This Compass is not a directional Compass that shows you co – ordinates or [West , South , North , East], this Compass is used for creating near / perfect circles.) In our books we created and defined the meaning, and shape of a circle. Here are some photos I took of the work I did in my math book!
The writing explains what I think a circle is : “A circle is a Two Dimensional round shape with no edges or corners. ”

(Straight full line between circles ) : The line = Diameter / length
(Half line between circle ) : The line = Radius / half of Diameters / Half of diameters length
(Colored grey area) : = Fraction / Sector / Section

For Team – Tui’s Assembly our main intention was to represent Matariki and Cook – Island Language Week. So we had Glendowie and some students from team tui dance! It was really funny and cool. Not only that I got to say my Pepeha in front of everybody! It was a new experience and was of the best assembly I ever attended to.

Lance & Pasimati’s : Working Collaboratively in a Doc.
for this week’s Cybersmart Me and Pasimati (A Person From My Class) worked collaboratively on a doc. We created a doc and we used it to play Knots”s & Crosses. Than after that we created a story by writing one word per turn.
For the past few weeks Team – Tui have been creating “Matariki – Taniwha – Art” or Art that show the meaning of the stars. I did Matariki – Taniwha – Art because room 12 and 13 did separate art. For My Matariki – Taniwha – Art I added Triangles, Squares, ” L’s” , “Almond Eyes” , Spears , Semi – Circles and more! It was very tedious but quite rewarding and fulfilling to complete.
This Week Friday 21st 2023 Team – Tui learned how to use the Cartesian – Plane X – Y : Axis!
We also reflected on the X – Y Axis . I also learnt that the Cartesian – Plane was Coordinates .
This was a really fun and interesting Task where we were given names of people. We would have to find the coordinates based on the information given to us! Then we reflected on these coordinates!
This was really cool and fascinating.
This week’s (Extra) Cyber – Smart learning task was about making quality blog comments on other people posts! So here an example of a good quality comment :

This made me think back to when I (Something) a long time ago! Have you ever thought of adding a bit of (Something) to it? It makes it way more fun!

This week for Matariki Team – Tui have creating writing poems about
Matariki and our five sense! We connect our senses to the stars and what the stars mean.
For example I used Tupu – A – Nuku which represents ground grown crops and connected it to taste!
This task was slightly challenging but I really enjoyed it!

The delicious sensation of healthiness and satisfying taste of hard – work, effort and achievement, put in the food you ate.

Remember that time the cold wind brushed against you?
The refreshing breeze pushed against your body? The fast and raging air moving around

Remember that time, when the whanau went fishing and diving and they brought back some delicious kina, shellfish and mussels? Remember the flavourful kaimoana the family enjoyed for dinner?
That was Waiti.
For Team – Tui Cybersmart we were introduced to “Sumo – Paint – X.” A digital art site that allows you to draw! We used Sumo Paint – X to draw and simulate a story. This story was about a person seeing a floating ship that made that person levitate . My idea of this story and the way I in – visioned it was that it was an alien space craft that abducts people.
