Anime is a well known popular type of animation. For our Fun Friday we wrote some information about anime characters! My top 2 favorite characters are Vegeta and Aang both from cool, funny, and exciting animes that even my parents used to watch. (Guy with cool hair / 1st on the left : Vegeta – 2nd to last on left with blue arrow on head smiling : Aang. )
For Team – Tuis fun friday we are creating a matariki festival reflection. Here’s my example and what I really enjoyed
Last Week, Team – Tui went to Star – Dome to learn about Matariki and its origins. After having a scavenger hunt for “Knowledge” and looking around the gallery we went inside the theater. Above us (Technically the roof) was a giant dome TV. This is probably why its called “Star – Dome.” We learnt how to find Matariki, How and why Tawhirimatea threw his eye in the sky and how Matariki began. Here’s a image of us there!
Today Team – Tui is going to go to the Star dome! I’m really excited to learn about stars and space. Star dome is basically a space theme museum! We’re going to go see the Star Dome “Gallery” and “Dome.” The Dome will most likley show a video on stars and space. Can’t Wait!
This week Team – Tui picked their own Togan person to write about. I choose J.p Foliaki / John Paul Foliaki! The majority of schools known him from the movie Red, White and brass. Being the “Main character” he represented his own culture Tonga! I personally really enjoyed the movie because of the uniqueness and the humour.
Last week Friday, Team tui went on a Fun – Run near Pakuranga. I was in one of the sixth teams there! I was in the fastest boys group. it was really difficult and challenging but was extremely fun. Drinking some thirst quenching water at the end of the race had never tasted better.
To be honest I felt like giving up but I kept thinking “dont stop” “Dont Stop” “Dont stop.” So to help me run for more longer I distracted myself by singing a song in my head.
This week Team- Tui has some homework! Our homework is to pick three individual E – mail etiquette.
I found this pretty fun and what I did was pick #1, #2, & #9. These etiquettes are personally my most important.
It was about being Formal, Writing your E – mail before writing the person’s name. Making sure and finally proofreading.
These are extremely important etiquettes and I think these should all be implemented in al E – mails!
For this week’s maths were currently learning about perimeter and area. For the first rotation (Every few minutes we rotate in our maths learning For Eg : IXL – > Math Choice board. ) This was really fun! Though it was slightly difficult I was able to make great progress in my math (Perimeter and Area).
After that I went on choice board and decided to play Prodigy! It was also fun, It actually happens to be my favourite math game / math learning website.

Today Room 11 filled in a document on google drive to test our knowledge on similes! Here’s the document and what I typed . This was really fun and interesting to complete ! Fortunately We will continue another Figurative Language Tomorrow. See you soon!
This week we’re learning about length and perimeter. My partners Carter and Mason tried to find the length of the play – ground. So we used a measuring tape to find the diameter. The first edge / border of the play – ground was
Thirteen (Point) Eight In Metres ? (13 . 8 Metres) ,
Three – Hundred and Eight In Centimetres,
and Three – Thousand and eighty Milimetres.
Unfortunately we couldn’t find the other borders but here are some photos of my buddies’ and I holding the measuring tape!
