Room 6’s & 5’s Amazing Catapults!

Today college students came over to teach us the fundamentals of physics and how to make catapults out of common materials/resources. First they split our classes into separate groups, I associated myself with my companions. After that we gathered the required resources including Popsicle-sticks, glue-gun, tape and rubber bands. We created the catapults with many inconveniences and problems, but we were able to create a functional catapult. After this we went to the hall for a competition, which the catapult could shoot the furthest. (Bonus: We used Isaac Newtons “First law“! “an object will not change its motion unless a force acts on it”). So back to the competition we unfortunately lost only shooting so far. Another had won. But in the end everyone got some delicious fruit bursts so it was a win-win.
