Name Tags : Team Tui

This Term Team Tui Created name tags! We decorated our name tags with different colors and patterns or even with things we like. I decorated the background with different colored stripes and made the N in my name look like one of my favourite games called Minecraft. Then I made the [C] in my name look like a chess board because I really enjoy chess. For my the [E] in my name I added the city I live close to  and also added a pokemon ball because it is one of my favourite anime. The [L] and the [A] In my name has stick man figures because I like animating stick figures.

Coordinates . Maths Week One , Term Three : Cartesian Plane . X – Y

This Week Friday 21st 2023 Team – Tui learned how to use the Cartesian – Plane X – Y   :  Axis!

Cyber – Smart : Quality Comment

This week’s (Extra) Cyber – Smart learning task was about making quality blog comments on other people posts! So here an example of a good quality comment :

Kia ora, I’m (Lance) from … Glen taylor School, I really liked this post because it was really well made. I really like (This) and thought this was interesting! This made me think back to when I (Something) a long time ago!  Have you ever thought of adding a bit of (Something) to it?  It makes it way more fun!

Since this isn’t a specific blog comment I created an example.

How To Create Quality Blog posts! :

(Introduction, School & Name First thing. )

(Positive comment Second thing / A Compliment Towards that post)

(Thoughtful comment Third thing / Something relative to the post)

(Helpful Comment / A tip for the post / Question / Reply )

Matariki Poem Writing!

This week for Matariki Team – Tui have creating writing poems about

Matariki and our five sense! We connect our senses to the stars and what the stars mean.

For example I used Tupu – A – Nuku which represents ground grown crops and connected it to taste!

This task was slightly challenging but I really enjoyed it!

Matariki : Writing Poem

That Was Matariki

Have you ever tasted Matariki ?

Sure You Have!

Remember the fresh, ground grown crops?

The delicious sensation of healthiness and satisfying taste of hard – work, effort and achievement, put in the food you ate.

That Was Tupu – A – Nuku .

Have you ever felt Matariki ?

Sure You Have!

Remember that time the cold wind brushed against you?

The refreshing breeze pushed against your body? The fast and raging air moving around

You?

That Was Uru – Rangi

Have you ever tasted Matariki?

Sure you have!

Remember that time, when the whanau went fishing and diving and they brought back some delicious kina, shellfish and mussels? Remember the flavourful kaimoana the family enjoyed for dinner?

That was Waiti.

Term , 3 , 2023 : Cybersmart : Week One !

For Team – Tui Cybersmart we were introduced to “Sumo – Paint – X.”  A digital art site that allows you to draw! We used Sumo Paint – X to draw and simulate a story. This story was about a person seeing a floating ship that made that person levitate . My idea of this story and the way I in – visioned it was that it was an alien space craft that abducts people.

Camp – Bentzon / Kawau Island : My Favourite Activities! [My Second Favourite]

Saling : Sailing was an awesome experience where I  gained knowledge and skills about sailing and became better at friendly communication / hand to hand co – operation ! It was extremely fun and fun to do! Being at sea was cold but still wanted to capsize just  cause being in the water would have been hilarious and something to remember in the future!

Cyber Smart: Accurate Source Of Information

Today we looked at trusting information online. We had three options. It necessary to use clues to choose the correct  or information source.  Our first option was to trust a suspicious website the other was certified by the government, department of conservation. Second was the New Zealand Herald. We choose the department of conservation because of the fact it was probably official since a conservation scientist checked. We specifically chose that source as worthy since the first choice was differently fake and the other is sometimes right but not always
